Sleep Apnea

I was at a seminar Triple”O” Orthodontics put on in Gainesville, Texas, where I did a presentation on the orthopedic treatment of sleep apnea. While preparing my course I was astonished to learn how many people are affected by sleep apnea. Statistically, more men than women are affected, however many post menopausal women suffer from the ill-effects of sleep apnea. This disease is characterized by brief periods where you don’t breathe for 10 seconds or greater. Sleep apnea can lead to many systemic health problems (i.e. high blood pressure and a number of cardiac pathologies.)

If you or someone you love suspects they have sleep apnea please contact our office for a complimentary consultation.

Sincerely,

Michael W. Dagostino, D.D.S.
