Migraines and TMD

Dear Patients,

The holidays are upon us, as the cold winds start to blow in our beloved town. My staff and I would like to wish you a happy holiday season full of love and togetherness.

Recently, I was able to convince the foremost authority in dental neuro-anatomy, Dr. Terry Spahl, to do a presentation for our company. Most of his lecture was devoted to the neurologic consequences of temporomandibular joint dysfunction, of TMD. The most interesting fact was that in excess of 95% of migraines are TMD related. Most patients are being treated for migraines with heavy medication, etc when the etiology of these headaches is, in fact of TMD origin.

Should you or someone you love suffer from migraine headaches please call our office for a complimentary consultation.

Michael W. Dagostino, DDS.
